The Official Readwise MCP Server

1. Open Customize (from the top left) and select Connectors
   
2. Click the plus icon and select Add custom connector
3. Enter Readwise as the name and add the URL: https://mcp2.readwise.io/mcp
4. Click Add and authorize with your Readwise account

1. Click your profile in the bottom left, then open Settings
2. Select Apps and click Create app
3. Enter Readwise as the name, add the URL, and check the confirmation box: https://mcp2.readwise.io/mcp
4. Click Create and authorize with your Readwise account

1. Run this command in your terminal:

   claude mcp add --transport http readwise https://mcp2.readwise.io/mcp

2. Open Claude Code and run /mcp, select readwise, and select Authenticate

1. Open Settings (bottom left) and select MCP Servers
2. Click Connect to a custom MCP, enter "Readwise" as the name, then select Streamable HTTP:
3. Enter the server URL and click Save: https://mcp2.readwise.io/mcp
4. Back in settings, click the Authenticate button next to the Readwise server to connect your account
5. Start a new chat and Codex will have access to all of your Readwise data

1. Run this command in your terminal:

   codex mcp add readwise --url https://mcp2.readwise.io/mcp

2. Log in to authenticate:

   codex mcp login readwise

3. Start codex and it will have access to all of your Readwise data

For the best experience with OpenClaw, install the Readwise CLI. Have your claw run:

npm i -g @readwise/cli

The CLI works optimally with OpenClaw and will handle authentication and data access automatically.
