Checkmate a Killer, Vegas Chantly Mystery #1

Vegas Chantly lands the case of a lifetime: a rising chess star has been found dead.

Vegas is a down-and-out private investigator living in a travel trailer. One morning, soon after her quirky mother wakes her up, she gets a sudden phone call. Chess champion Wilson Hopkins has been found dead in his hotel room.

Vegas needs the work, but this case is a big one. With her well-intentioned mother so determined to tag along, the craziness piles up-and so do the bodies. This is no game. Vegas has got to stay focused if she is going to Checkmate a Killer.
