My Quiver

A part Indian boy starts life as an Indian. He doesn't fit in among the Indians, because he is more white than Indian. As soon as he feels capable of surviving on his own, he strikes out to make a life in the white community. He survives by wit and by being willing to work at whatever job he finds available. He faces the ups and downs of life that most of us have faced, and goes on to find success as a trainer and breeder of race horses. Through a life as a horseman, he is able to build wealth and respectability.
