The Welsh Springer Spaniel - A Complete Anthology of the Dog

The red-and-white Welsh Springer is an ancient working spaniel of Wales, bred to spring game for the gun. The Welsh Springer Spaniel gathers the scattered early literature of the breed – its history, description, character and management – into a single readable volume.

These collected accounts range across the Welsh Springer Spaniel's history and origins, its description and character, and the practical business of rearing, breeding and showing it, assembled from the works of the fanciers and authorities who knew the breed best.
