The Irish Water Spaniel - A Complete Anthology of the Dog

The tallest of the spaniels, the curly-coated, rat-tailed Irish Water Spaniel is a bold water retriever of the bogs and loughs. The Irish Water Spaniel gathers the scattered early literature of the breed – its history, description, character and management – into a single readable volume.

These collected accounts range across the Irish Water Spaniel's history and origins, its description and character, and the practical business of rearing, breeding and showing it, assembled from the works of the fanciers and authorities who knew the breed best.
