Love & Science

The acclaimed collaborations of playwright/director/designer Richard Foreman and composer Stanley Silverman have challenged and entertained adventurous theatregoers internationally for twenty years. This selection of texts make these original and inimitable works of music-theatre accessible to a wide audience for the first time.

Includes: Hotel for Criminals (The American Imagination) an exploration of the dark, sex-filled vision of France created by silent film serials; Africanus Instructus, a surrealistic vaudeville journey through the dark continent of our subconscious; and Love and Science, a magical romance with mystical implications.

Also included are the script of Yiddisher Teddy Bears, a musical comedy set in New York's Lower East Side at the turn of the century, and Richard Foreman's own introduction to his singular world of music theatre.
