The Samoyed - A Complete Anthology of the Dog

A smiling white spitz of the Arctic, the Samoyed hauled sledges and herded reindeer for the peoples of Siberia. The Samoyed gathers the scattered early literature of the breed – its history, description, character and management – into a single readable volume.

These collected accounts range across the Samoyed's history and origins, its description and character, and the practical business of rearing, breeding and showing it, assembled from the works of the fanciers and authorities who knew the breed best.

A rewarding companion for Samoyed enthusiasts and breed historians alike, this modern edition keeps a wealth of early material in print and within easy reach.

This edition features:

• Brings the breed's foundational writers together in one collection.
• Covers the breed's history, origins, description and character.
• Includes period guidance on breeding, rearing and showing.
