Electric Breakfast

A holiday camp in France where a grieving father and his daughters discover the tragic secret to the prolongation of their sadness; a man tormented by a life of failures is given the opportunity for revenge in a very classical sense; a father and son find courage through their love of black and white comedies to rise up against the force of destruction that has come into their life; a man driving on a quiet country road discovers the true form of the child in the back seat a little too late. There are victims in these stories, and heroes, sometimes both at once. Overcomers and underachievers, the ghastly, the emotionally stunted, the fearsome and the wise. If there is a theme throughout, then it's about the fight, the fight for those you love, for life, for reality, for sanity. And not everyone gets up at the end.

"In the stories of Paul Meloy--where walk the living dead, genetically modified pandas, and the mad and terrible Nurse Melt, among others--raw, tell-it-like-it-is comedy brawls with trippy horror in a cage match for the human soul. Take a front row seat. Try not to get any blood on you." - Joe Hill

"Paul Meloy is a unique talent in genre fiction who never disappoints. He's a master craftsman of the short story, and his prose leaves me breathless." - Sarah Pinborough

"Paul Meloy is the UKs answer to Jonathan Carroll...expand your imagination by entering his dark world." - John L Probert
