The Orator

Fast-paced tales of crime and coppers from "one of the most popular writers of the early twentieth century" (Mystery Scene).   This collection presents a dozen classic detective stories that include "The Mind-Readers," "The Sirius Man," "The Couper Buckle," "The Guy from Memphis," and more featuring Chief Insp. Oliver Rater, a man of few words ironically nicknamed the Orator by his colleagues. But silent as he may be, there is much going on under the surface. These action-packed tales are written by the legendary British author Edgar Wallace, whose novels sold more than fifty million copies in his day.
