Thirteen classic tales to read aloud together, the Brothers Grimm, the same story on facing pages, Spanish and English, word by word.

Whether you are raising bilingual children, reading bedtime stories together, or an adult learner building real Spanish vocabulary, Bilingual Bedtime bridges the two languages seamlessly.

One story, two languages
Every spread holds one moment of the story twice: Spanish on the left page, English on the right. Small matching numbers align every paragraph, so paragraph 3 in Spanish is always paragraph 3 in English directly across from it. The English is intentionally a close mirror translation that preserves the cadence and structure of the Spanish sentences.

The little words underneath
Under the text run small helpers in the other language, aligned word by word. The helpers reuse the same vocabulary across both pages: the Spanish words you meet on the left are the exact ones glossed beneath the English on the right.

Read aloud, then cross the bridge
Read a paragraph aloud in one language, then hop across the spread and read the same paragraph in the other. Repetition is how a language settles in naturally - without drilling or flashcards.

Thirteen complete tales included:

  • El Rey de las Ranas (The Frog King)
  • La Liebre y el Erizo (The Hare and the Hedgehog)
  • La Cenicienta (Cinderella)
  • La Reina de las Abejas (The Queen Bee)
  • Los Músicos de Brema (The Bremen Town Musicians)
  • El Dinero Llovido del Cielo (The Star Money)
  • El Sastrecillo Valeroso (The Brave Little Tailor)
  • Ruiponche (Rapunzel)
  • El Pescador y su Mujer (The Fisherman and His Wife)
  • Rosa-con-espinas (Sleeping Beauty)
  • Blancanieve y Rojarosa (Snow-White and Rose-Red)
  • Tom Pouce (Tom Thumb)
  • Juan en la Prosperidad (Hans in Luck)

The Spanish source text preserves the rich literary syntax of José S. Viedma's classic 1879 translation, lightly modernized for today's readers.
