Wildsam Field Guides: Western Montana leads travelers into the heart of Big Sky Country with guidance from trusted local adventurers, craftspeople and writers. With a focus on the region's deep fly-fishing traditions, the book explores the rivers and creeks that unite the nation's fourth-largest state. Meanwhile, the book ranges widely through Montana's literary heritage, ranching and horseback culture, untrammeled wilderness, vibrant small cities like Missoula and Bozeman and contemporary arts scene. With visits to both Glacier and Yellowstone, this guide explores some of the West's most iconic territory--but also uncovers a surprising modern Montana of creativity and progressive thinking.
