The Lost World - The Chosen

Series description:
In a near-future Sun Empire where magic is publicly forbidden and technology reigns supreme, the twin boys Kaelan and Caelum Solstice live an ostensibly normal life on Auralis Prime. Their high-tech, AI-assisted home in Skyhaven Crescent-one of the secure, orderly zones of this Tier 2 planet-provides them with state-of-the-art education and comforts. Unbeknownst to them, however, fate has a darker design: On their impending ninth birthday-the day of the ritual testing designed to reveal magical sensitivity-the twins' lives will be irrevocably changed. While the society strictly suppresses any sign of magical potential, a secret program called Project Equinox routinely removes "sensitive" children to be weaponized for imperial ends.

BOOK 1: THE LOST WORLD - THE CHOSEN
The Lost World: The Chosen weaves together the lives of Kaelan Solstice (the Silent Prodigy), his twin Caelum Solstice (the Shining Marked One), and their soon-to-be mentor Elyon Solaris, against the backdrop of life in the Sun Empire and the rising threat of the Eclipse Syndicate.

The Lost World: The Chosen is the first volume in an epic eight-book saga-a sweeping blend of science fiction and mysticism, political intrigue and spiritual awakening, and the unbreakable bond between two brothers separated by an empire's cruelty.
