Glory to God for All Things

"Glory to you, O God, from age to age." American Orthodox Christians look forward every year to the Akathist of Thanksgiving, usually offered on the eve of Thanksgiving Day. But this beautiful, intriguing hymn goes by quickly as we sing it, and deserves more of our attention. This book offers Frederica Mathewes-Green's version of the text, accompanied by her photographs, and includes a biography of the hymn's author, Metropolitan Tryphon Turkestanov. This lovely volume gives us a chance to take our time, and read, study, and pray the Akathist of Thanksgiving, any day of the year.
