Good Boy

911 dispatcher Kate Warren knows a familiar voice doesn't always mean safety. When a terrified boy reports that his missing brother is outside-knocking, pleading, and sharing secrets only family should know-the call ends in another disappearance.

Then Kate's aging dog's smart collar speaks in the voice of Ellie, her daughter who vanished eighteen months ago.

The voice says Ellie is alive. It also wants Kate's son, Ben, to enter the greenbelt after dark.

As every borrowed voice grows more convincing, Kate must choose what to trust: the technology promising to restore her family, or the loyal old dog determined to protect them from something in the woods that is learning how to sound human.
