From the depths of the endless abyss . . . EC Comics and Oni Press proudly present the first in a new series of one-shot celebrations spotlighting the boldest and bloodiest talents from EC’s new class of caustic cartoonists! (Take it from us: They really put the “ill” in “illustrator,” heh heh!) Our first victim? Comics legend and Eisner Award–winning artist Charlie Adlard (The Walking Dead, Of the Earth)! For the first time between two covers, survey Adlard’s punishing portfolio of uninvited resurrections, souls sold cheap, and spectacularly sadistic horrors as illustrated in the immortal EC Comics manner (with lots and lots of red, naturally). Plus: A brand-new, never-before-told tale reuniting Adlard with acclaimed writer and fellow survivor of the Tormentor’s rack: Chris Condon (Ultimate Wolverine, That Texas Blood)! This is sure to be the most murderous mag you’ll read all winter! Shovel and lyme not included.
Chris Condon
Chris Condon is the low-down dirty scoundrel behind the ongoing Image Comic series That Texas Blood and its acclaimed Wild West spinoff, The Enfield Gang Massacre, both with artist Jacob Phillips. He waded deep into bayou waters to adapt Barry Gifford's Night People for Oni Press and has not been the same since.
