DI Nottage is given the challenge to investigate the death of a local biker as a result of a Road Traffic Accident, he is catapulted into the River Tyne and drowned. Originally considered a case of poor judgement, Pat becomes suspicious of foul play with possible links to drugs and organized crime. Impossible to ignore, she looks closer in this biker's life.

Pat and her life long friend, both serving detectives, start their investigations, and find nothing is as simple as it seems.
