Choose Your Own Adventure books--the 4th bestselling children's series of all time--are back and as much fun as you remember. Kids and adults agree, these are the books that get 9- to 12-year-olds reading.
YOU are Princess Freya of Vydene, and you are the first royal in your kingdom's history without a single spark of elemental magic. In Vydene, every royal comes into their power--fire, water, earth, or air--by the time they reach the Hatchling Ceremony, the ceremony where they bond with their elemental dragon. That is, every royal except you.
But on the day of your Hatchling Ceremony, you touch the clutch of dragon eggs, and the impossible happens: Every egg turns to stone, save one. A tiny dragon shimmering with all four elements hatches and chooses you ... and a flicker of magic ignites within you for the very first time.
Now, with the fate of the kingdom in your hands, you must choose: Will you embark on a quest with your elemental dragon? Or will you trust the royal mages, who insist you must focus on honing your magic? And can you find a way to save your kingdom's dragons before it's too late?
Take flight in this enchanting and imaginative fantasy adventure packed with intrigue, magic, and dragons, perfect for fans of the Wings of Fire series and How to Train Your Dragon.
