Ragnarok and a Hard Place

Cassie Zukav came to Key West, Florida for a two-week vacation and never left. She spends her days as a dive master at a scuba diving place and her nights at Mayor Fred's Saloon in Old Town watching 1812, the house band, rock the joint.

And in between, she spends a lot of time dealing with crazy stuff. Having been informed that she's a Dís-a Norse fate goddess-Cassie's life is awash in mythical beasts, strange spirits, and a rather alarming number of Norse gods.

Here are eight stories of Cassie's adventures in Key West, plus a dozen vignettes. See her encounters with a homicidal nixie, a possessed doll, a lost mermaid, a very loud dragon, and a vengeful demon, as well as the usual nonsense involving various and sundry gods from Thor's drunken exploits to Tyr's bizarre new career as a stock car racer to Sigyn's coming into her own as 1812's drummer to Loki's past coming back to haunt everyone on more than one occasion.
