Olly is learning to throw the javelin for the Boys' Throwing Competition - and he's desperate to win! But his arch-enemy, Spiro, has other ideas. Can Olly use the power of the mighty god Zeus to help him make his javelin fly?
Olly lives in Olympia, the home of the Olympic Games in Ancient Greece. He dreams of becoming an Olympic Champion one day. But for now, he helps his dad to run the Gymnasium, tidying, fetching, carrying and serving Olympia's elite athletes. In a series of eight books, Olly is inspired by the athletes he serves, heroes from the myths of Ancient Greece, and by his devotion to the gods and, of course, the desire to win. A perfect reading series for newly confident readers with an interest in sport.
