Rollo in Naples

A travel narrative for younger readers set in southern Italy, following Rollo's observations of Naples and its surrounding landscapes. Part of Jacob Abbott's widely read Rollo series, Rollo in Naples presents a structured account of travel, instruction, and moral reflection as the young protagonist encounters the geography, customs, and daily life of the region.

Abbott's method combines descriptive passages with guided explanation, offering readers an introduction to European travel within a framework intended for educational use. The Neapolitan setting provides opportunities for discussion of local culture, natural features, and historical context, while maintaining the steady, instructive tone characteristic of the series.

This edition follows the original text and has been prepared for clarity and readability, preserving the didactic and observational structure of Abbott's work.
