The Vintage Dog Scrapbook - The Bull Terrier

Muscular, mischievous, and famously game, the Bull Terrier is the white cavalier of the dog world, a spirited companion with a gladiator's past. This treasured anthology gathers vintage writing and rare photographs celebrating the Bull Terrier.

Part of the Vintage Dog Books library, The Vintage Dog Scrapbook - The Bull Terrier collects essays, breed notes, poems, and period photographs drawn from classic interwar dog books such as About Our Dogs (1931) by A. Croxton Smith, Dogs of the World (1931) by Arthur Craven, and Hutchinson's Dog Encyclopaedia (1935). Together they capture the breed as it was known a century ago, in the words and images of the fanciers who prized it most.

This edition features:

• A collection of rare interwar photographs, many seldom seen since first publication
• Essays and breed notes gathered from the classic dog writers of the 1930s
• A vivid portrait of the Bull Terrier as it stood a hundred years ago
