Across haunted wildernesses, ancient ruins, and shadowed kingdoms walks a grim avenger driven by faith, justice, and an unrelenting war against evil.
This collection gathers the legendary Solomon Kane stories by Robert E. Howard, presenting the adventures of one of fantasy fiction's most enduring and enigmatic heroes. A sombre English Puritan of the sixteenth century, Solomon Kane roams the world armed with pistol, rapier, and unwavering resolve, confronting both human cruelty and supernatural darkness wherever he finds them.
From the forests of Africa to the wild coasts of Europe and beyond, Kane faces sorcerers, murderers, vampires, lost civilizations, demons, and ancient horrors lurking beyond the reach of ordinary men. Though stern and often feared, he is driven not by conquest or glory, but by a relentless sense of justice and a refusal to stand idle in the face of evil.
Blending historical adventure, gothic horror, dark fantasy, and pulp action, the Solomon Kane tales showcase Robert E. Howard's gift for vivid atmosphere, fast-paced storytelling, and unforgettable heroism. Each story carries the reader into dangerous lands where courage and steel are often the only barriers against darkness.
Filled with eerie mystery, violent adventure, and supernatural menace, A Solomon Kane Collection brings together the classic tales of one of fantasy literature's most iconic wanderers.
Robert E. Howard (1906-1936) was born and raised in rural Texas, the son of a pioneer physician. He began writing professionally at the age of fifteen and turned out dozens of tales of heroic and supernatural fantasy, featuring many memorable creations - including the character he is best remembered for: Conan of Cimmeria. These stories, mostly published in Weird Tales, won him a huge audience across the world and influenced a whole generation of writers, from Robert Jordan to Raymond E. Feist. Sadly, Howard killed himself in June 1936 when he learned that his beloved mother had fallen into a coma.
