Adventures in Science Fantasy: Ultimate Edition brings together Robert E. Howard's thrilling blend of action, adventure, and otherworldly exploration. This definitive collection includes Howard's classic tales like Almuric, alongside the never-before-seen King of the Forgotten People, featuring both an early draft and synopsis.

In Almuric, Esau Cairn is cast into a savage world where survival depends on brute strength and a will of iron. As he battles both monstrous beasts and barbaric tribes, Cairn's journey echoes Howard's signature heroic style:

"We broke the heads of the wolves and the jackals, and we ripped the bellies of the lions and elephants. We glutted our hunger on beasts that thought to master us. We were the Conquerors!"

This Ultimate Edition offers readers Howard's original texts, with Almuric taken from its first publication in Weird Tales. With stunning cover art by Mark Wheatley, this is a must-have collection for fans of science fantasy and adventure.

Robert E Howard

Robert E. Howard (1906-1936) was born and raised in rural Texas, the son of a pioneer physician. He began writing professionally at the age of fifteen and turned out dozens of tales of heroic and supernatural fantasy, featuring many memorable creations - including the character he is best remembered for: Conan of Cimmeria. These stories, mostly published in Weird Tales, won him a huge audience across the world and influenced a whole generation of writers, from Robert Jordan to Raymond E. Feist. Sadly, Howard killed himself in June 1936 when he learned that his beloved mother had fallen into a coma.
