Protecting the Pawn

A vampire with secrets. A security expert with trust issues.

Tatiana Sterling thought leaving Special Ops behind would lead to a quiet life. Instead, she's running a private security firm with the most irritating-and irresistible-partner imaginable.

Jackson Dale Shade is an enigma wrapped in designer suits. He's charming, flirtatious, somehow always two steps ahead.

When Senator Williamson hires them to investigate a suspicious car following his stepson, they uncover something far more dangerous-a gold laundering operation with deadly stakes. Suddenly they're caught in a web of deception where no one can be trusted, not even their own client.

As Tatiana navigates her growing attraction to JD while discovering the dangerous world of supernatural creatures hiding in plain sight, she must uncover the truth about the Senator's criminal activities while keeping herself-and an innocent teenager-alive.

Can Tatiana and JD solve the case and protect those in danger? Or will the deadly forces behind the gold laundering operation claim them all?
