See Critical Role’s Mighty Nein through the eyes of nine of their friends and foes in this new anthology, with a foreword by Taliesin Jaffe.
In these nine stories, the legend of the mighty adventuring party grows with tales from some of the most memorable characters who fought with—and against—the Mighty Nein!
Within its pages:
• Essek Thelyss grapples with the choices of his past and the potential of his future, as told by Dani Carr.
• Isharnai deals with the emotional aftermath of a fate-altering cupcake, as told by Kiri Callaghan.
• Pumat Sol returns to his shop after the fight with Obann and the Mighty Nein, only to find that his adventure is not quite done, as told by Mike Chen.
• Plus six more hilarious, heartbreaking, and heroic tales featuring Sprinkle, Avantika, Dairon, and more!
With their hope, unbreakable bonds, and larger-than-life commitment to heroism in a dark world, Critical Role’s Mighty Nein touched hearts everywhere they went—both those of their fans and their fellow denizens of Exandria. This collection spotlights nine characters whose lives were changed by the Mighty Nein but whose stories have not yet been told.

Born from Ink & Stardust, Kiri Callaghan is an author of fantastical fiction, performer, and poet. Existing work consists of The Terra Mirum Chronicles (Alys, Changeling), The Seek Anomalie Podcast, and a collection of original poems performed live at the Los Angeles Poetry Brothel. When Kiri is not telling stories or pretending to be other people, she is likely exploring the world, dancing under the moon, or crafting something with superglue, paint, and sheer audacity. She resides with her ridiculously stunning wife, the sweetest ball python to ever exist, a raccoon/bunny hybrid masquerading as a cat, and a sentient void with an unhealthy penchant for chicken in Los Angeles, California.
Mike Chen is the New York Times bestselling author of Star Wars: Brotherhood, Here and Now and Then, Light Years From Home, and other novels. He has covered geek culture for sites such as Nerdist, Tor.com, and StarTrek.com, and in a different life, covered the NHL. A member of SFWA, Mike lives in the Bay Area with his wife, daughter, and many rescue animals. Follow him on Twitter and Instagram: @mikechenwriter
Rin Chupeco has written obscure manuals for complicated computer programs, talked people out of their money at event shows, and done many other terrible things. They now write about ghosts and fantastic worlds but are still sometimes mistaken for a revenant. They are the author of The Girl from the Well, its sequel, The Suffering, and the Bone Witch trilogy. Nino Cipri is a queer and trans/nonbinary writer, editor, and educator. They are a graduate of the 2014 Clarion Writers’ Workshop, and earned their MFA in fiction from the University of Kansas. A multidisciplinary artist, Nino has also written plays, screenplays, and radio features; performed as a dancer, actor, and puppeteer; and worked as a stagehand, bookseller, bike mechanic, and labor organizer. They are the author of Homesick, a World Fantasy Award finalist and Dzanc Short Fiction Collection Prize winner, and the novellas Finna, a finalist for the Hugo, Nebula, and Lambda awards, and Defekt, a British Fantasy Award winner and finalist for the Philip K. Dick and Locus awards. Dead Girls Don't Dream is their young adult debut.
