The Skye Terrier - A Complete Anthology of the Dog

The long-coated, low-slung Skye Terrier is an old working terrier of the Hebrides, bred to bolt fox, badger and otter from the rocks. The Skye Terrier gathers the scattered early literature of the breed – its history, description, character and management – into a single readable volume.

These collected accounts range across the Skye Terrier's history and origins, its description and character, and the practical business of rearing, breeding and showing it, assembled from the works of the fanciers and authorities who knew the breed best.

A rewarding companion for Skye Terrier enthusiasts and breed historians alike, this modern edition keeps a wealth of early material in print and within easy reach.

This edition features:

• Brings the breed's foundational writers together in one collection.
• Covers the breed's history, origins, description and character.
• Includes period guidance on breeding, rearing and showing.
