Dalton Borne is a cowboy who keeps his past closed up inside. He's watched his partners at the New Horizon Ranch find love and he's happy for them and even envious. Her beloved husband of twenty-two years died just seven months before she finally sold, so he never saw her name in print. During her grief after his death God gave Debra an appreciation for the need for humour, especially in Christian fiction.
Her greatest blessing is when readers tell her one of her books helped them laugh again or see God's love shine through during a dark time in their life. It is her life's purpose to bring smiles to her readers.
