Stolen Diamonds, Lost Rubies

Stolen Diamonds, Lost Rubies offers a glimpse into haunting tales of addiction, homelessness, and the scars of trauma that unfold within the verses.

Often people lost in the jumble of despair will wither away but others fight to reclaim a shattered life navigating harsh realities of the streets, their homes, even their families.

This collection of poems explores the perceptions and realities of those of a lesser social standing, those torn apart by violence yet feel there is no way out, the plight of the marginalized, and those with mental illness. This collection is an exploration of hope, redemption, resilience, and the enduring human spirit - it's a gritty observation of the forgotten souls who dwell in neglect and isolation, the umbrage of society.

Dr Q offers a poetic assay of shattering the bonds of misconception that marginalized people are lesser, we find we share basic human needs - love, a sense of belonging and purpose. Whether we live in a mainstream world or suffer in silence or exist on the fringes of society there is hope and there is a power in human connection.
