Red Death

Young Jonathan Barrett, scion of a wealthy Long Island family, has two goals: getting a university education and losing his virginity, not necessarily in that order. His progress is stymied by his social climbing mother, who sends him off to England, much against his will.

In London, accompanied by his cheerfully decadent cousin Oliver, he encounters Nora Jones, an unearthly beauty who casts an irresistible spell over Jonathan. He's in love and his fate is sealed as she drinks his blood during their sensuous nightly trysts. His life is perfect, or would be if not for a violently jealous rival and a call to return home as revolution threatens his family.

But Nora's dark gift has changed Mr. Barrett in ways he can scarce understand, much less explain. However, he finds his new abilities are not without advantages that he fully intends to embrace to protect his loved ones.
