Somebody's Baby

An adorable mutt and heartwarming characters captivate readers in this third installment in Donna Alward's Darling, VT series.

When town social media maven Oaklee Collier accidentally hits a stray dog on her way home from a bridal shower, there's only one person she can turn to: Rory Gallagher, town vet and her big brother's best friend. Rory patches up the pup, but it's his next suggestion that puts Oaklee off her stride--that she foster the dog through his recovery before putting him up for adoption. Oaklee resists at first; she isn't into commitments of any kind, especially since she was left at the altar during a secret elopement. But how can she see the dog be sent to the shelter? And how can she resist the sexy Rory, the boy she had a crush on for years?

Rory Gallagher knows he should be hands off where Oaklee is concerned. She's his best friend's little sister, and it's his job to look out for her - not try to get her into bed! Both of them fight their attraction, but when Oaklee faces heartbreak, their resistance weakens. Suddenly attraction turns into something much deeper, and unless Rory can come clean with Oaklee about his past, their future together is at risk.
