Untamed

Lady Barbara Chamberlain has the face of an angel, the polish of London’s most elite drawing rooms and, behind it all, the cunning of a cat. Orphaned at a young age, she and her brother, Charles, have made a living off the gullibility of rich strangers. But Charles’s scheming has landed him in the torturous confines of a Bermuda prison, and Barbara desperately needs funds to help him escape.

Her plan had seemed simple enough: Convince Lieutenant Zachariah Morgan to present her to his mother, then produce documents to support the claim to a portion of Louise Morgan’s vast fortune in Oklahoma Territory. After all her years of playing the role of seductress, however, Barbara is now caught in her own snare. The devilishly handsome Zach confounds her with his kisses and kindness. Even more confusing, he seems willing to put aside all his doubts, although he knows that she has lied to him with every breath.

But their reckless passion will find its own perils in this wild land. And as treachery and unseen danger play out, Barbara will be forced to risk all that she holds dear—including her own untamed heart.
