Warrior

Warrior by Ellen Oh, founder of #WeNeedDiverseBooks, will appeal to action-fantasy fans of Ranger's Apprentice, Eon, and Marie Lu's Legend series! With a strong heroine, romantic intrigue, and mythical creatures, such as a nine-tailed fox demon and a goblin army, Kira, the yellow-eyed demon slayer who protected her kingdom in Prophecy, is back—and her dramatic quest is far from over.

Kira has valiantly protected her kingdom—and the crown prince—and is certain she will find the second treasure needed to fulfill the Dragon King's prophecy. After finishing Ellen's first novel, Prophecy, School Library Journal said they were "ready for a sequel." Well . . . here it is! Filled with ancient lore and fast-paced excitement, this page-turning series is one riveting adventure!

But as enemies close in and an ancient evil stirs, can one warrior stand against the darkness?

• A Warrior Protector: As bodyguard to the crown prince, Kira’s loyalty is absolute. But protecting him from cursed blades and political assassins will test the limits of her strength and her heart.
• Sacred Treasures: The Dragon King’s prophecy hangs in the balance as Kira hunts for the second mystical treasure, a quest that will lead her into the treacherous Land of Shadows.
• Creatures of Korean Mythology: Face down a demonic nine-tailed fox (a kumiho), battle a goblin (dokkaebi) army, and confront the terrifying, fire-breathing dragon Fulang.
• Enemies to Allies: Forced to work with her former betrothed, Shin Bo Hyun, Kira must decide if she can trust the man who once betrayed her kingdom—and her.
