Excellence

Growing in Excellence Through the Story of Jeremiah

Every day, we must choose whether to live cautiously or courageously, to follow the crowd or to embrace God's purposes. God invites us to live at our best, to pursue righteousness, to drive toward true excellence.

In this six-session LifeGuide(R) Bible study, beloved pastor Eugene Peterson draws from the story of the prophet Jeremiah to explore what a life of excellence looks like. Like Jeremiah, we may feel inadequate and weary, but God wants to empower us to grow in obedience, integrity, and endurance.

While the content of this Bible study is inspired by Peterson's book Run with the Horses, it is designed to be a standalone Bibles tudy. You don't need to read Run with the Horses to benefit from this study--it stands on its own as a powerful guide to following God's call in your life.

LifeGuide Bible studies feature:

• A guide to getting the most out of the study, including suggestions for how to participate in individual or group study.
• Leader's notes for preparation and leading a group through the study.
• "Now or Later" section following each session to help you act on what you learn.
• Trustworthy biblical wisdom from experienced authors.
