Broken Promises

Torn between her career and a man who sets her heart on fire...

When homicide detective Charlotte Barrington is dragged from her lover's bed to attend the scene of a murder, she has no idea the man she spent the night with is the prime suspect. To make matters worse, she fears she might very well be his alibi.

A young and successful lawyer, Grayson Thorpe's life is turned upside down when he arrives home after a night of passion with a beautiful stranger and discovers his wife's lifeless body. He's just come from the bed of a woman who has rocked his world and now he's being interrogated by the police. Even more confronting, the woman he spent the night with is no other than one of the detectives now regarding him with suspicion and distrust.

Grayson knows he is innocent, but how will he convince the police of this? More importantly, will the beautiful detective believe he's telling the truth when all evidence points to his guilt?
