Blair Underwood is a Tony and two-time Golden Globe nominee, and an Emmy, Grammy, Peabody, and eight-time NAACP Image Award–winning actor, director, and producer. Underwood has starred in numerous film, television, and stage productions, including Sex and the City, Set It Off, Madea’s Family Reunion, Longlegs, L.A. Law, and Self Made: Inspired by the Life of Madam C. J. Walker. He lives in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Tananarive Due (tah-nah-nah-REEVE doo) is an award-winning author who teaches Black Horror and Afrofuturism at UCLA. She is an executive producer on Shudder's groundbreaking documentary Horror Noire: A History of Black Horror. Her books include Ghost Summer: Stories, My Soul to Keep, The Good House, and The Reformatory. She and her late mother, civil rights activist Patricia Stephens Due, coauthored Freedom in the Family: A Mother-Daughter Memoir of the Fight for Civil Rights. She is married to author Steven Barnes, with whom she collaborates on screenplays. They live with their son, Jason. 

Steven Barnes has won the Image, Endeavor, and Cable-Ace Awards, and also wrote "A Stitch in Time," an Emmy-winning episode of The Outer Limits. This New York Times bestselling author's novels include Lion's Blood; Beowulf's Children, cowritten with Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle; Star Wars: Mace Windu: The Glass Abyss; and Casanegra, cowritten with Blair Underwood and Tananarive Due. Barnes and Due are married and recently directed their first studio film, The Keeper, which is based on their graphic novel of the same name. Barnes and his family live in Los Angeles.
