Isolated and dispersed by the Spanish Civil War, many Basque families immigrated to Nevada in their dream of finding a new home. But when tragedy strikes his family, Frank turns his back on all he knows to find a new path.

This is the story of a father and son who have been estranged for too long, in the absence of the loving fabric that their lost wife and mother had provided. Now, Frank's affluent city existence leaves him unfulfilled. And for his father, Robert's bitterness has cost him everything.
