THE JEWISH BOOK OF HORROR
Edited by Josh Schlossberg
Horror is part of the human condition, but few peoples across the ages know it quite like the Jews.
From slavery to pogroms to the Holocaust to antisemitism, the "Chosen People" have not only endured hell on Earth, they've risen above it to share their stories with the world.
Whether it's pirate rabbis or demon-slaying Bible queens, concentration camp vampires or beloved, fearless bubbies, THE JEWISH BOOK OF HORROR offers you twenty-two dark tales about the culture, history, and folklore of the Jewish people.

DANIEL BRAUM writes short stories that explore the tension between the psychological and the supernatural. His debut short story collection The Night Marchers and Other Strange Tales (2016) was re-released in 2023 in a new edition from Cemetery Dance Publications with a cover by Dan Sauer. He intentionally adopts the term "strange tales" for his stories in homage to author Robert Aickman and the intentional ambiguities of his work. His short fiction can be found in his collections Underworld Dreams (2020) from Lethe Press, the illustrated chapbook Yeti Tiger Dragon (2016) from Dim Shores, and The Wish Mechanics (2017) from Independent Legions. His collection Phantom Constellations is forthcoming from Cemetery Dance Publications in Fall 2025. His stories have also appeared in places ranging from the The Best Horror of the Year Volume 12 edited by Ellen Datlow and Shivers 8 edited by Richard Chizmar to Lady Churchill's Rosebud Wristlet and many anthologies. Braum first worked with Dan Sauer in the pages of The Audient Void: A Journal of Weird Fiction and Dark Fantasy. His novella The Serpent's Shadow was released in trade paperback by Cemetery Dance in Fall 2023. His novel Servant of the Eighth Wind is forthcoming from Lethe Press.
