It provides guidance for collecting facial images, fingerprints, iris scans, deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA), and palm prints to maximize data quality. Adherence to procedures in this publication will improve the efficiency and effectiveness of identity operations, deny the enemy anonymity, and reduce risk to friendly forces.
