Ed writes fast-paced stories about funny, foolish characters who go on epic adventures. Since 2016, Ed has been the lead script writer for cartoon band Gorillaz, working with artist and co-founder Jamie Hewlett to dream up the virtual band’s madcap exploits, then script them across a diverse range of media. He has worked on animated music videos, sketches, and ad campaigns that have garnered hundreds of millions of views online, scripted in-character music press interviews, radio shows, and animated MTV award speeches, and in 2020 he co-wrote the best-selling Gorillaz Almanac – a screwball compendium of stories, comic strip, and lore. Ed’s career began in the comic book world. He has written lots of scripts for Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Hasbro’s Action Man ATOM, and Warner Bros’ Tom & Jerry.
