Imogen Russell Williams is a children's literature critic and author of children’s non-fiction including Great Britons and Great Elizabethans (Nosy Crow), The Big Book of the UK and The Big Book of Slimy Things (Ladybird). She also writes poetry for both children and adults. Her first collection, The Women Left Behind, was published in 2019. Kitty and Mary is her first novel for adults and young adults.
